Just an idea of how packed the place was Once a year, the Chingay Parade takes place in Orchard Road.
It attracts tourists and locals alike. Everyone goes down to Orchard to catch on the festive feel. Usually, we would rather stay at home and watch the event from the comfort of our living room, but this year, we decided to hit 'ground zero' and head for Orchard.
Seasoned 'event chasers'
As can be expected, the place was packed (see topmost photo). And being 'seasoned' event 'chasers' as we were, we had our food packed from the foodcourt at nearby Takashimaya Shopping Centre. At around 1925hrs, it rained a bit - forcing the people to dash for shelter. Our spot was just outside Wisma Atria and so, finding shelter was no issue.
After the rain, I decided not to take anymore photos and keep my camera instead. Better play safe lah! Heheh! We left the place just before 2100hrs to avoid the 'big squeeze' on the MRT.
As promised to aMie,
