The family participated in a Walk-a-Jog event on Sunday.

Valerie ran the whole distance and came in 31st overall. Janet started jogging only after a quarter of the way - after walking with me and Lucas. As for Lucas, he half ran, half walked in the beginning but started complaining of stomach pains and such, after Janet started off jogging. In the end, I had to carry him all the way to the end. We came in as numbers 182 and 183 with Janet at number 51.

Haha! The more important thing is that we got the family together on a sleepy Sunday morning and got ourselves some sweaty fun!

Anyway, the event also signified the commencement of construction works for the interim commercial centre, located just beside the Fernvale LRT station. This commercial centre is expected to be named Fernvale Point.

That, is good news to most Fernvale residents as the estates here have long been lacking in terms of amenities. During his address, Dr. Balaji mentioned that we will get a wet market, supermarket (people are guessing it's NTUC), ATMs, 4D betting centre, a food court (口福 - Koufu), and more! Heehee! With the completion of these, Fernvale will cease to be branded 'ulu'!!
