Audio : Listen

In my previous post, I mentioned that I 'had some serious levelling up' to be done in Maple Story (MS).

My first character on MapleStory.
Going to storage soon!

!!OMFG!!

This triggered quite a number of calls, SMSes and emails from people in the mailing list! Hahah! So for those who were interested in knowing more...

Maple Story is a side-scrolling 2D action/RPG game that allows the players to control cutesy little characters in fighting monsters, completing quests and more. Find out more on the official Maple Story South East Asia site! If you want to visit the global site, please go here.

Guess what? Wikipedia has a large collection of information on Maple Story! It is DEFINITELY worth the time to read through the Wiki contents before starting the game creating your in-game character!

As with many games, having some guides would do you a lot of good. For MS, the good resources are available (but not limited to):
A piece of advice. Choose your character class (Magician, Warrior, Bowmen and Thief) and read up on the guides on how to train and assign your ability and skill points!

One other thing for you folks who have been contacting me. YES, it is free - as long as you play the game as it is. Should you want to 'zhng' your character by buying a new pair of glasses for it, a new hair style, plastic surgery, cute hats, cute weapons, etc., there will be a need to spend some real cash. A SGD10.00 stored value top-up card (A-Cash) goes for SGD12.00 in Singapore and is widely available. Damn! The cash credis are even available on the S.A.M. machines!

Please note though that not all items purchased with real cash are permanent. The pets, hats, shirts, glasses, etc. are only valid for a fixed period of time (usually 45 or 90 days), after which you will have to buy the item(s) again. Only hairstyles and plastic surgery are permanent.

That's about all I can say right now... if you are playing the game, please leave your in-game-name here.

I am currently playing on Bootes and my characters are vandyke and valdepoko.

This is not a Maple Story guide. I am writing this based on the limited knowledge and experience I've had with the game. Not all things mentioned here may be accurate but I try my best to be as accurate as I can.
